THE SILENCE OF GOD

Hello everyone, remember in my previous post how I was talking about the silence of God with some cues from a sermon by Apostle Joshua Selman,  and I explained that I will be doing the teaching in series to help us understand things better.  

The second point you need to know about God being silent is that He is working on other factors needed to help you do His will. The will of God does not only depend on your obedience, it also depends on the synergy of many other people and many other factors. Sometimes when God leaves you in silence it is because He is at the other end of your destiny rearranging the people and the conditions that must make you work in purpose. Let's look at Luke 1:39 onwards; we can tell how Mary arose in haste in those days to go and see Elizabeth when she was bearing our Lord in the womb. Let's understand that if Elizabeth had a child before that time, there would be no occasion that would bring the two(Mary and Elizabeth) together. Mary went to Elizabeth because Elizabeth was the one who could relate to her situation and has gone through that season(the season of pregnancy).  A major reason Elizabeth was delayed in pregnancy was so that the timing of Jesus and John the Baptist could coincide. Imagine she had given birth to John the Baptist and he was roaming around?  Do you know and understand how frustrating it would have been for John to be in the wilderness?  All the while Jesus was growing up, John was in the wilderness. It was the moment he started his ministry that Jesus was ready to be baptised. If John was born earlier than the appointed time,  John would not be able to have the patience to wait until Jesus grew up. Imagine John as an adult and Jesus growing up, how old would he have been when Jesus turned 30?  Interesting isn't it? So for that, Elizabeth had to be delayed in bearing a child.  There are times when the silence of God means He is putting other things in place; the bone that would be joined to the bone to make sense of your destiny and purpose. In the verse 40-44 Elizabeth asked Mary why she the mother of the Lord had come to her? Who had told Elizabeth that Mary was carrying the Lord and when Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, her baby leaped with joy. Destiny had connected there and then. For some people the reason why God is delaying you is because the person in the blueprint of your destiny to connect you just got born again and is being trained to rise to a position that destiny connection can happen.  Let me tell you something, every time you don't understand God, give thanks and know that He is  doing something, preparing a table, fixing things that you will never need to  have any trouble about again in your life. For some of you, God tied you because of something great. He stopped you when other people were going forward because He decided to keep you and is about to reveal you like a trophy because all things are ready.
