THE LEADER WHO HAD NO TITLE

Reading this book; the leader who had no title which was given to me by my amazing CEO just to impart knowledge into us, I managed to pick up some stuff from the book which I'll like to share. Sharing is caring as we know.  Also, I think I'll be doing this in bits so as not to make it too lengthy and people can be motivated to read. This book tells us all we need to know about business and how to make it in life as well. It was written by a man who at a point in his life had no purpose, felt lost in life and living his life as the day comes with no vision or future till he met his mentor who turned his life around.

It tells us that worrying about things beyond our control is a pretty good formula for illness and most of the things we concern ourselves with about never actually happen. We need to learn to invest in becoming better thinkers and developing a stronger mind. We should know relentless learning is a main trait of an open and powerful person and an obsessive and ongoing self-education is one of the greatest survival tactics to get through turbulent times.

I have come to know when you least expect something good to happen, good will come hunting you down and in the midst of difficulty lives opportunity and each of us is built to win- both work and life. Getting lost along your path is a  part of finding the path you're meant to be on. Sometimes, we need to get off track before we can develop the clarity to be on track. Life tends to break you down so you could be rebuilt better and oh boy; just wait until you see the breakthroughs you are about to experience.

One thing about a job you love so much? Is you have the the time of your life and it is a surest way of staying young at heart. You tend to be creative  and stretch your thinking by solving problems. Doing great work is one of the single best tactics  to grow full of deep joy.

This which is the highlight of my reading is, every single person has the power to show leadership in all they do if they are serious about surviving and thriving  in thee times of head spinning change. We all need to start demonstrating leadership. To succeed, everyone now must see themselves as part of the leadership team. You do not need formal authority to lead anyone; only a desire to be involved and commitment to making a positive difference. For us to show leadership, we need to lead where we are planted and shine where we now find ourselves. Very important and vital.

Anyone, anywhere in the world, can step up and take responsibility to drive change, push excellence and show leadership. Each one of us has the internal reservoir of leadership potential. We just need to become aware of it then really own it. The awesome result of revealing leadership within the area of influence you are now is that, the more you do it, the more your area of influence will expand.

Anyone anywhere in the world can step up and take responsibility to drive change, push excellence and show leadership. Each one of us has internal reservoir of leadership potential. We just need to become aware of it and then really own it and once you awaken your inner leader, you should exercise it everyday because the more you use this power, the better you will come to know it and the stronger it will  get.  Leadership has nothing to do with what you get or where you sit. Leadership is a lot more about how brilliantly you work and how masterfully you behave. It is about doing great work - right where you now are and about lifting up every single one of the people you work with and get to serve.

You don't have to have a title to be a leader. Being a living being is enough. That is all it takes because every single one of us alive has unrecognised powers and disowned potential that are far superior to the power conferred by a title. Once you learn how to awaken and apply those powers, every element of your life will explode into success. Leadership then becomes automatic- the default at which you work and play. You will know of no other way to be.

Let's take a look at this; a restaurant is the only place where you get good stuff first and then you pay the price. In work and life in general, you need to pay the price of success before you get all the results that is due you. Just because you haven't received yet the benefits of positive deeds you may have done, doesn't mean they are not coming. You will always reap what you sow. The chickens will always come home to roost. You will always get what you deserve. Even the smallest good act has set in motion a good consequence. Take a look at Roosevelt, Mandela, Edison or Einstein. These people were the best and I mean, the best of the best and not one of them achieved what they did for the money. They were driven by the challenge, by the desire to do something uncommonly great and that drive is what made them legends.  Don't get me wrong; money is important to living your best life. It brings freedom , decreases stress and allows you to take nice care  of those you love and to help others. There is a saying that goes; "the best way to help poor people is to make sure you don't become one of them."

Also keep in mind that you can't be creative and innovative if you are too scared to think, feel and be different. Be an original. Leadership is for everyone and in this period of dazzling change in business and society, it really is the single most important discipline required to win. As long as you can breathe, you can LEAD.
