POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS

What do you do when you feel the odds are against you? When you feel nothing works in your favour? What do you do? Do you just cry it out, get angry, feel depressed? Question God on why such things are happening?  Does it make you question your self- worth?

What happens when you start questioning your self-worth? You got to shake it off, tell yourself you are a winner, you can do it and set out to do what you have to do. If possible, pray, and look in the mirror every morning and tell yourself; I am a bad ass babe! I can do it if I set myself to it! I am an achiever! I can do it! You can scream it if you want to but never let your anxiety, worries and depression make you question your self- worth. Never. You mock God when you do that because in Genesis 1:27 He said He has created mankind in His own image in the image of God He created them.  So what happens then if we tend to look down on ourselves? We tend to question God and His abilities.

Also know, you are not your mistakes. You definitely are not. Things might not go as we plan but hey, let us look at the bigger picture. Something better and greater is always in store for us. Tend to focus on that and see it as the end goal.  Make Christ your priority above all else for in Him there is so much comfort, grace and mercy. He is always ready with open arms to receive us! Everything takes time, trust the process. He makes all things perfect in His timing. When you set your mind free from negativity and focus on being positive, it does wonders and also when the heart is free from all bitterness, even a calculated attempt to bring you down shall fail woefully!

If there are situations that make you tend to look down on yourself or question your worth, try as much as possible to walk away from such situations, try not to dwell on past events that hurt you, shake of that feeling. Shrug it away. Tell yourself; “I CAN!” and “I WILL!” You are a boss!

Focus on things that make you happy. Things to take your mind off situations that will make you dwell on the past and will get you down. Find activities to engage in, try to make your passion a hobby. (There is so much joy and fulfilment in that). Be with friends who push you to be better and make you feel good about yourself.

Another life hack which i discovered is being around people who make you uncomfortable especially those who are ahead in life, trust me, you learn a lot from them; a lot if you give yourself the chance. Avoid being pressured by lifestyle of others, it is the quickest and easiest way to fall into depression.

Love yourself or nobody will.
